The world often seems tailor-made to fit a male narrative, inadvertently overlooking the needs and experiences of women. Nowhere is this oversight more evident than in the stigma surrounding menstruation. Even in this time of great progress, discussion of this natural part of every woman's (and menstruating people's) lives remains deeply uncomfortable.
However, understanding our bodies and the intricacies of our menstrual cycles can be powerful. By embracing the insight gained through tracking our cycles, we not only demystify our own physiology, but also reaffirm our place in a world that should account for all experiences, regardless of gender—while improving the quality of our daily lives.
‘Cycle’ is an educational project aiming to fill the gaps left by the limited sexual health and wellness education we receive, equipping us with the understanding to seize each day and normalise what’s natural. Because knowledge is bloody powerful.
